autonomic-neuropathyAutonomic neuropathy is a disease caused by improper functioning of the automatic acting neurons. Improper functioning of the neurons is observed by the damaging of the nerves. These neurons automatically functions and controls the nerves that regulate the blood pressure, bowel and bladder emptying, digestion, heart rate, and other body functions. The damage to these autonomic neurons affects the involuntary body functions, including heart rate, blood pressure, perspiration, digestion and other processes.

Erectile dysfunction is the inability in the men to achieve the erection or sustain the erection for the longer period of time during the sexual intercourse. In the case of erectile dysfunction, in spite of the sexual stimulation and the signals from the neurons in the brain, no erection is observed. The latest research conducted by the group of scientists has put a light on the relationship between the autonomic neuropathy and erectile dysfunction (ED). They also said that autonomic neuropathy may lead to erectile dysfunction.

To study the connection between the erectile dysfunction and autonomic neuropathy, a research was done by the scientists. In the research the 500 men suffering from the autonomic neuropathy were put for the questionnaire regarding their sexual performance during the sexual intercourse. It was observed that 350 men out of the 500 were having the problems with their performance during the sexual intercourse. It was observed these men were having the sexual stimulation but were unable to get the erection. Some men were able to get the erection but failed to sustain the erection for the sufficient amount of time during the sexual intercourse.

It was finally concluded from the research that about 70% of the individuals out of 500 men having autonomic neuropathy were suffering from the erectile dysfunction. These 70% men were treated for the autonomic neuropathy; it was found that 50% men out of them reported the hard and rigid erection and 25% noted the erection for the sufficient amount of time during the sexual intercourse. Thus, it was clear autonomic neuropathy can cause erectile dysfunction in men.

In the body, due to the autonomic neuropathy the nerves carrying the blood to the different parts of the body get damaged and man losses the control of body functions. Thus as the blood vessels are damaged, it leads to the less amount of blood supply to the all parts of the body. As a result the less amount of blood is supplied to the penis during the sexual activity and men starts suffering from the erectile dysfunction. Signals from the brain are released with the help of neurons when the man is sexually excited, but due the improper functioning of the neurons the signals that are sent by the brain due to the sexual excitement are affected. Men are unable to get the erection in spite of the sexual stimulation. So, we can say that autonomic neuropathy is linked to erectile dysfunction.

Men suffering from autonomic neuropathy can use the drugs like Kamagra, Caverta, Zenegra, or Apcalis to get the hard and long-lasting erection. But, please discuss with the doctor before using these drugs.
