Student Dismissed From Class for Passing a Gas

Auckland, New Zealand. – A boy from the 6^th grade was suspended for passing a gas in the class during their History lectures. This was really an embarrassing condition for the boy because the whole class was suffocating because of his gas, even the lecturer coughed because of it. When the lecturer found it out, she dismissed him from the class for a week. This was really a funny condition for all the other classmates because their lecture room became like a gas chamber and it was really a difficult place to survive. The lecturer left all the students free after that lecture as she was unable to speak in the room.

The lecturer complained about this to the principal of the school, and he suddenly without thinking anything about the boy’s condition dismissed him from the school for a week. This was really a cruel some decision against that boy and his parents complained to the principal, but he was not ready to listen. When asked to the boy he said that he was not well and was suffering with the stomach upset problem from the last night. But, he said that many a times such incidents happened and no teacher objected to it because it the natural process.

The guardians of the boy have lodged a complaint against the teacher and the principal for humiliating behavior against their child. The condition has become worse when the boy joined the school and everyone was teasing him for this. Even the teachers are laughing on the kid and this is really the sad condition for the kid. So, the parents have decided to file the case against the school. When asked to school officials they said there’s no rule against flatulence, but there are rules against causing a disturbance in the classroom. But, I really feel pity for that boy because that was not his cause as it was entirely natural thing.

Even the similar case was happened before three months when they dismissed the girl for a week who passed the gas. So, it is actually a wrong method the school is following as passing gas is the body function that occurs automatically when the stomach is filled with the excessive gas. The parents of the girl didn’t take any action the school because they didn’t want the matter to grow further. They even lived the area and even the school because it really became a difficult place for the girl to survive as everyone was joking about her. But, this time the boy’s parents are quite resistant to take action against the school and thus have filed a case against the school.

But, I strongly believe that what happened to the boy was not at valid because he didn’t do it deliberately to disturb the class. He was even sorry for this, so there was no requirement to dismiss him from the school.
